Option 1: Fly into Florence, Italy

• Flights from the US & other global airports to Florence typically require a connection in a European hub like Rome, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Zurich, or Copenhagen.

• Ubers or Taxis are easily available from the Florence airport and should take 20-30 minutes. Taxis can be obtained at the airport taxi stand or via the Uber app, which will have a taxi option. Payment by credit card will typically be accepted.

• Please note that connecting from international to domestic flights typically requires you to go through security again, so please ensure you leave enough time for your connection
  

Option 2: Fly into Rome, Italy

• Rome is accessible via direct flight from a variety of US and international airports including Boston, New York, Miami, and others. Note the flight to Rome is often overnight so we suggest opting for a late departure if possible, bringing a neck pillow, and trying to get some sleep on the flight.

• From the Rome airport we recommend either renting a car or taking the train to Florence.

• Car Rental: Rome airport has most major car rental agencies, and renting a car is typically much cheaper in Europe than the US ($50-$100/day, inclusive of insurance, depending on the car). The drive to Florence will take roughly 3 hours, though we suggest taking your time if possible and making stops along the way (more details in activities section).

• Train Travel: Trains are available from Rome airport direct to Florence. Travel time is typically around 2 hours, and the cost of a ticket can start around $30. Be sure to carefully review your tickets to ensure a direct train, as some options will require a change at Roma Termini station in the center of Rome.
  Tip: If you encounter any issues at the train station, there are many information desks located throughout to help!
